What are construction fence tarpaulins?

Construction fence or privacy tarpaulins are PE (polyethylene) fabric tarpaulins with reinforced edges. They are eyeleted all round for stable and reusable installation, while the mesh HDPE fabric with LDPE coating also makes the construction fence tarpaulins extremely tear-resistant and weatherproof.

The dimensions of our products correspond to the standard format of the construction fence and transform it precisely from a bar grid construction into an opaque privacy screen.

What are construction fence tarpaulins used for?

The combination of a construction fence and a tarpaulin creates a fence privacy screen. It can be extended and widened with any number of construction fences, so-called construction fence panels. This flexible fabric tarpaulin is therefore ideal for use in large areas, both indoors and outdoors.

Construction site protection / construction fence banners

On construction sites, a site fence tarpaulin protects workers and machinery from the eyes of passers-by. The use of this flexible visual protection has led to a significant reduction in theft on construction sites over the years. In general, the construction fences ensure good security, construction site vehicles are less obstructed and work can be carried out without disturbance in the closed-off areas.

As the fabric of the PE protective tarpaulins is completely impermeable to wind, it can also be used as dust control fence around the excavation pit.

Printed fabric tarpaulins are suitable as advertising banners for the logos and designs of the companies involved or as a surface for printed illustrations of the construction project in progress.

Large events / open-air concerts

Use the mesh fabric tarpaulin as a weatherproof privacy screen—whether for events or backstage/VIP areas for musicians, athletes, and exhibitors—to create opaque barriers blocking visitors, passers-by, and onlookers.

Connected at flexible angles and securely mounted, the fence privacy screen can also be used to create access zones to the event. The fence screens are the optimal guidance system for the flow of visitors to the entrance controls.

Weather protection and shade provider

The construction fence tarpaulin lets neither wind, rain nor sun through. The construction consisting of construction fence and protective tarpaulin is secured against rain and the increased wind load with appropriate construction fence feet and support struts. The PE material is waterproof, mechanically resilient and highly UV-stable. The eyelets of the fabric tarpaulins are made of aluminium.

These all-rounders are used in a wide variety of areas: in agriculture, at trade fairs and on company premises. In the private sector, construction fence tarpaulins can also be used as fence screens, privacy screens, sun protection and as "small" tarpaulins. Thanks to the aluminium eyelets, the tarpaulins are easy to install and can be used anywhere.

Please note the rule of thumb: the darker the colour of the privacy tarpaulin, the better its sun protection and shade effect.

How are construction fence tarpaulins attached?

The surface of a construction fence is a construction fence panel made of wire mesh with standardised dimensions. Accordingly, our tarpaulins have a standardised finished size of 3.41 m x 1.76 m. There are stainless steel eyelets every 50 cm for fastening the fabric tarpaulins.

The construction fence tarpaulin has a very sturdy edge reinforcement for optimum tear resistance. The firmly welded seam with a hemmed PP cord ensures very high stability and durability.

In most cases, the fence privacy screen is attached to the pipe frame of the construction fence using cable ties or rubber tensioners. Installation is quick and easy.

What dimensions are there for construction fence tarpaulins?

The standard size is based on the size of a standard construction fence: 3.41 x 1.76 metres. Our site fence tarpaulins are immediately available in this standard size and in various colours.

Other dimensions such as 3.40 x 1.75 m, 10 x 1.76 m, ... are available on request. Construction fence tarpaulins are also available in rolls, in customised sizes or in special shapes such as trapezoids or triangles.

Standard colours, special colours and colour prints

The construction fence tarpaulin is in stock and available for immediate delivery in black, white and green.

All other colours are available on request. For example: blue, olive, anthracite, brown, purple, orange, red, yellow, pink, rose. The same applies to printed tarpaulins.

Material thicknesses

The robust fence protection tarpaulins are available as HDPE / LDPE fabric with 100 g/m² or 150 g/m².

For even more stability of your construction fence banner, please contact us. Other material thicknesses such as 80, 120, 180, 200 or 250 g/m² are available on request.

Flame-retardant construction fence tarpaulins

There are clear fire protection regulations that need to be observed, especially for large events in halls, trade fairs and open-air events. You are on the safe side with our certified B1 tarpaulins. These durable tarpaulins are flame-retardant and fire-resistant.

Handling, sun, weather and maintenance

The high quality of the tarpaulins makes them easy to handle.

The tarpaulins are multifunctional and universally applicable. In addition, they are suitable for multiple use, they are water-repellent, UV-resistant and washable.

The fabric tarpaulins are very robust and have a high weather and temperature resistance for year-round use, i.e. temperatures from -40 to +80 degrees, in wind, rain, ice and snow.

What printing is possible?

Of course, we can also supply you with printed fabric tarpaulins.

Whether it's the logo of your company or your event, the names of the tradesmen and architects on the construction site - whatever advertising imprint you require, we can have the fence panels printed according to your wishes:

Construction fence tarpaulin or construction fence net?

It depends on the purpose and location of the construction fence whether you use a net or tarpaulin for your construction fence.

Both materials are very stable, tear-resistant and suitable for installation.

The fences made of tarpaulin are completely windproof and therefore much more susceptible to wind. However, the construction fence tarpaulins are also completely opaque.

The coarse-meshed construction fence nets, on the other hand, are less susceptible to wind, but also less opaque.

Each tarpaulin is therefore neatly and cleanly packed in a polybag and delivered with a promotional label.

Small deliveries are made by parcel service.

Larger quantities are dispatched by a forwarding agent, with approx. 400-600kg per pallet.
