What Is Label Protection Tape?
Label protection tape is an extra-wide, single-sided, self-adhesive tape made from transparent polypropylene (PP). Also known as shipping label protection film, it is supplied on rolls with a sturdy cardboard core. Our standard rolls contain 66 meters of clear shipping label protection tape.
What Is Label Protection Tape Used For?
Clear label protection tape is used to attach and protect shipping labels, address labels, tags, packing slips, and other shipping documents on parcels, pallets, cartons, and other packages. Its strong adhesive helps keep documents securely attached, while the transparent PP film keeps printed information, barcodes, and EAN codes visible and scannable.
The protective film helps shield labels and shipping documents from:
- Moisture, humidity, and precipitation
- Dust, dirt, and abrasion
- Tearing, detachment, or loss during handling and transport
How to Use Label Protection Tape
For fast, economical application, we recommend using our practical label protection tape dispenser. Insert the roll, then place the shipping label face down on the adhesive side of the tape. Pull the required length across the dispenser and cut it at the serrated edge. The protected label can then be applied directly to the parcel, pallet, or carton.
Label Protection Tape Features
Transparent PP Backing Film
The backing film is made from clear polypropylene. Its high transparency keeps addresses, product information, barcodes, and EAN codes easy to read and scan through the protective tape.
Thickness and Durability
Our standard range includes two quality grades. Standard label protection tape has a total thickness of approximately 45 µm, while the premium version has a total thickness of approximately 50 µm. Hot-Melt and Acrylic Adhesives
We offer label protection tape with two adhesive systems. Our premium tape uses a high-quality, solvent-free hot-melt adhesive with strong initial tack. Depending on temperature and unwinding speed, it may unwind quietly or produce more noise. Our standard tape features a solvent-free acrylic adhesive with strong adhesion and quiet unwinding.

Our label protection tape is transparent so that shipping labels and enclosed documents remain clearly visible.
