What is mini stretch film?
Mini stretch film is a highly stretchable, narrow-width film, typically 100 mm wide, made from polyethylene plastic. Its properties are similar to conventional wrapping films.
Intended uses of mini stretch film
As the name suggests, bundle stretch film is primarily used for bundling products. It is commonly used to secure and package long items, stacked goods, and various other products. Compared to adhesive or packing tape—often seen as an alternative—mini stretch film offers the advantage of leaving no adhesive residue on packaged items. Additionally, it is easier and more convenient to remove. Its stretchability ensures a strong hold, providing excellent product security and protection.
Available thicknesses of mini stretch film
Mini stretch film is available in three standard thicknesses: 20 µm, 23 µm, and 35 µm, chosen based on the specific application. In most cases, 20 µm and 23 µm are sufficient for 90% of uses, while the 35 µm variant is recommended for particularly heavy or sharp-edged items.

Standard widths of mini stretch film
The standard width of mini stretch film is 100 mm. When used with a suitable film dispenser, this width is ideal for bundling, securing, and packaging products quickly and efficiently. While narrower widths can be produced, they are more prone to tearing during application, as the stretching process reduces the film’s effective width. Therefore, extra care is required when handling very narrow films. However, for lightweight and small products, an extra-narrow mini stretch film can still be a practical option.

Available colours of mini stretch film
In addition to the standard colours—transparent, translucent, and black—we also offer a range of vibrant shades, including yellow, blue, orange, green, and red. Flush core vs. Extended core
Mini stretch film is available with two different core lengths:
- Flush Core – The core is 100 mm wide, exactly matching the width of the stretch film.
- Extended Core – The core extends beyond the film width, measuring 145 mm in total, with 40 mm overhang on one side and 5 mm on the other.
The extended core is the more popular choice, as it serves as a built-in braking aid, allowing you to control the stretching process more precisely using your thumb.

Packaging of our mini stretch film
Mini stretch films are securely packed in sturdy boxes, each containing 40 rolls. Pallets are packed with 30 cartons, totalling 1,200 rolls per pallet. However, you are not restricted to these packaging units—we also offer smaller order quantities to ensure our service meets all customer requirements, no matter how big or small.
Custom-printed mini stretch film
Printing on mini stretch film is also possible. At dm-folien, we offer this service with an exceptionally low minimum order quantity of 600 rolls, making it a cost-effective solution even for smaller businesses. We can print in single-colour or multi-colour (up to three colours).
Since only one side of the film remains visible during use, printing is only possible on one side. The type of customised print is entirely up to you. Common printing options include:
