Similar to garden fleece, it is made of permeable material but in black, making it light-blocking. This prevents weeds from growing and causes them to decompose naturally.
How Should I Cut, Lay, and Secure My Vegetable Protection Net?
Cutting: You can cut the plant protection net with standard scissors or a sharp cutter knife. Measure out beforehand how wide and long the piece of net needs to be. For a professional finish, experts use a soldering iron to melt and seal the edges, preventing fraying and avoiding gaps where pests could enter.
Laying: Drape the net loosely over your crops, leaving space for upward plant growth. Always cut slightly larger pieces to ensure the net does not stretch too tightly across the plants.
Securing: There are no fixed rules, but make sure no gaps remain at the edges where insects could crawl under. Why Do We Not Offer Coloured Nets?
Crop protection nets should always be white. Professional growers use only white nets, as they allow the highest light transmission. While coloured nets may look more attractive, they block more sunlight and therefore reduce growth conditions. For this reason, we only offer white nets to ensure optimal plant health and strong harvests.
