What Is a Shade Net?
A shade net is a plastic net made from individual, fine HDPE threads. These threads are processed into a very stable and tear-resistant net during production. HDPE is the abbreviation for high-density polyethylene and has the advantage of being particularly tear-resistant, durable and UV-resistant.
What Is a Shade Net Used For?
Shade net (also known as shading net or shading fabric) is very versatile. Shading net is used, for example, to shade greenhouses, polytunnels, cold frames, free-standing plants, patios, pergolas, balconies and conservatories. Our shade net is also ideal as a sun sail. In addition, shade nets can be used as privacy screens and wind protection on fences, balconies, tennis courts and construction fences. You can also use them to protect your garden pond from leaves, dirt, strong sunlight and to protect your ornamental fish. Full Rolls
Shading netting can be purchased from us on rolls. Our rolls are 30 metres or 50 metres long, depending on the quality of the net.
Cut-to-Size / By the Metre
We also offer products for end users with smaller requirements. We offer all our available stock sizes as customised goods by the metre. We will customise your desired size very quickly, carefully and precisely. This means that it is always possible to realise exactly the right size for everyone.

Our green standard net has an ideal shading value of approx. 72% to protect your sun- and heat-sensitive plants. It is perfect for protecting your greenhouse from excessive sunlight in summer. Coloured Shade Nets
The coloured protective nets have a very high grammage of 230 g/m², while the light blue net even has a grammage of 320 g/m². This makes them particularly sturdy, tear-resistant and durable and also demonstrates their high quality visually.
UV Resistance and Cold Resistance
Standard Net - 72% Shade
The classic shading net has a UV resistance of 3 - 5 years. It is also designed for use at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. It can therefore be used outdoors both in summer and winter.
Coloured Shade Nets
These very high-quality, coloured nets have a UV resistance of up to 10 years and can therefore be used outdoors for much longer. These nets can also withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C.
How Can a Shade Net Be Fixed?
Thanks to the buttonholes on the edges of the shading net, it can be attached to the fence very quickly and easily as a privacy screen.
You can attach the net with a rope, rubber rope or expander rope or fix it with eyelets and ground nails. Another option is to attach the shading net to fences with cable ties or flash binders. This makes it easy to assemble, quick to relocate and simple to remove.
Which Colours Are Available?
Our shade nets come in a wide range of colours for you to choose from. The classic dark green colour is mainly used in horticulture. You can also buy the shading net in different colours to give your patio or event a personal touch.

Processing of Shade Nets
The nets have a button strip on the sides with buttonholes spaced ten centimeters apart. This ensures easy installation. The buttonholes also prevent the netting from fraying and are very durable and visually appealing thanks to their high quality.
As the net is water-permeable due to the net structure, the plants underneath do not dry out. The formation of stagnant water and water pockets is also prevented.
