AGRIplus Universal Net in Various Sizes Our AGRIplus universal protective neta are made from UV-stable monofilament threads, making them very sturdy, robust and tear-resistant. The net cannot be torn by hand. For easy and secure fastening, the net is equipped with sturdy metal eyelets with an inner diameter of 12 mm. Mesh To ensure versatile use, the net features a very fine mesh size of 0.8 × 0.8 mm. The AGRIplus universal net is water-permeable, preventing the formation of water pockets. Durability The AGRIplus universal net is UV-resistant and frost-resistant, making it suitable for long-term use over many seasons Versatile in Use The AGRIplus universal net is suitable for a wide range of applications. It reliably catches leaves and debris in autumn and winter and protects against predatory birds such as herons, egrets, and cranes, as well as cats and other animals. In addition, it helps keep snails and other leaf-eating pests away from vegetable patches. Simple Attachment The AGRIplus universal nets can be quickly and securely fixed using ground anchors or tarpaulin tensioners (see our accessories). These are easy to insert into the ground by hand and can be repositioned just as easily when required. Alternatively, the net can be secured using a rubber rope or expander rope, also available in our shop. What is a pond net?
Our pond net is a very close and fine-meshed net. It is made from many individual, robust and stable monofilament threads. Monofilament is made from the polyethylene plastic and is extremely tear-resistant and tough. If you try to tear a single monofilament thread by hand, you will quickly realise how robust and stable the monofilament netting is. The protective net can be used to cover any type of pond.
For which ponds is this netting used?
Garden pond, ornamental pond, fish pond, koi pond, swimming pond, ... no matter what type of pond you want to cover, our net will protect your pond and the animals in it from any dangers caused by predators and pollution.
What is the purpose of pond netting?

Our pond cover net is the perfect protection against leaves and dirt. Thanks to the very small and narrow mesh size of 0.8 x 0.8 mm, it not only catches large debris such as leaves, but also keeps tiny particles away from your pond. This keeps the pond water in its natural balance. Pond maintenance is made considerably easier by using leaf protection netting.
Heron protection - Bird protection - Cat protection
A further important reason to cover your pond with our special cover net is to protect your beloved pond inhabitants from predators such as herons, egrets, other birds of prey and of course from the neighbour's hungry cats.
Please note: Our pond net can only be used to a very limited extent for personal protection, child safety and child protection.
What properties does the pond net have?
There are some very important things to consider when deciding to cover your pond with a pond cover.
Light transmission
It is vital for animals and plants to be provided with sufficient sunlight, UV radiation, light and brightness. Although our fine mesh is very tightly woven, it only has a minimum shading value of around 20%. This low shading value is achieved because the individual threads appear colourless, transparent and almost invisible. When sunlight penetrates through the colourless mesh threads, the shade value stays low. Therefore, our advice is to always opt for pond netting with transparent threads and avoid using pond protection netting in black because of its light transmission, and for the sake of your animals and plants.
Water permeability
Water permeability is also an important feature. The advantage of a net instead of an impermeable tarpaulin is that no water pockets form when it rains. It also ensures that your pond and your fish are always supplied with fresh rainwater. You should therefore definitely opt for a net instead of an impermeable tarpaulin for this purpose.
Very little area exposed to wind
Another advantage of mesh netting is that it is less exposed to wind. It is easy to attach and fasten and is less vulnerable to wind, storms and severe weather conditions.
Mesh size: do you prefer a fine mesh or a coarse mesh?
As mentioned above, our fine-meshed net with a very small mesh size is a perfect leaf net and reliably keeps out not only predators but also the smallest particles, leaves, foliage and contaminants.
How is pond netting attached?
In order to fasten the pond protection net optimally and securely, we supply a sufficient number of sturdy and practical eyelets for every size of pond netting. To make the fastening even more secure and durable, we recommend doubling the edge (edge reinforcement) before you hammer in the plastic eyelets. Using these practical eyelets, you can now easily attach the safety net with ground nails or a conventional rope, twine or expander rope, tension it properly and lash it securely. Thanks to the very low weight of the pond net, no further support or fastening is necessary. It is important that you cover the entire water surface.

Mesh size of pond nets
Our pond nets have a very fine mesh size of 0.8 x 0.8 mm. This net was originally used in professional vegetable cultivation to keep the smallest insects and pests away from young plants.
The colour of our pond nets
At first glance, our pond netting seems white. Upon closer inspection, however, you can see that the individual monofilament threads are transparent. When purchasing a pond net, we advise you to choose a material that is as translucent as possible to ensure the most natural conditions possible for flora and fauna.
Is the net weatherproof and UV-resistant?
Our pond cover net is highly weather-resistant. It is highly UV-stable, frost-resistant and frost-proof. The net is treated with a high level of UV protection during production. The polyethylene / monofilament material is naturally cold-resistant down to minus 80 degrees. If used for approx. 6 months per year, we expect it to last for at least three to five years.
Weight and volume of pond netting
With its low weight of 60 grams per square metre, our pond protection net is very light and very easy to "handle" despite its high durability and tear resistance. It also takes up very little storage space when the net is not in use.
