Unique CO2-neutral, climate-friendly silage film
V12-Barrier films are made of PE and EVOH raw materials. The combination of PE and EVOH provides a unique oxygen barrier. These two completely unproblematic and environmentally friendly types of plastic can be easily recycled together. During production, the usual raw material combination PA / PE is deliberately avoided, as this composite is significantly more problematic to recycle. In order to guarantee the highest quality for V12 silo films, only 1A granulates and no regenerates are used in production.
Up to 70% less work – "integrated" underlay film
With V12 silage films, you do not need to use an underlay film (absorbent film). This saves you a considerable amount of time when installing the silage film. Since V12 silage films are exceptionally smooth, the film clings perfectly to the silo mass, similar to an underlay film. The film is significantly lighter because it has a significantly lower film thickness than conventional silage films. When it comes to large bunker silo and biogas plants, you will save an enormous amount of time when laying the film, and this is an advantage that should not be underestimated. Thanks to the 11-layer special formula, V12 Barrier Silo Film has significantly better technical values than normal 150 my silage film. In addition, it is DLG-tested!
You will be amazed – extremely easy to lay and attach
Covering your bunker silos or biogas plant has never been easier. V12 silage film saves you an enormous amount of time and makes this hard and exhausting work considerably easier. By completely avoiding the use of absorbent film, you save additional time and money. The film is lighter than normal silage film.
A huge range of widths (up to 64 metres)
V12 silage film is also unique due to the range of possible widths and lengths. Film widths of up to 76 metres are possible. The maximum width of conventional silo film today is 22 metres. But that's not all: if you have special width and length requirements, that is also possible. The maximum possible size for V12 silo film is 12,000 m² on one roll!
Oxygen barrier – outstanding values thanks to layer structure and raw material innovation
V12 is an 11-layer "high-end" special film. It is almost gas and oxygen tight, similar to food vacuum packaging. The middle layer of the film ensures these extreme and unique values which benefits your silage. The high gas barrier ensures an unprecedented silage quality. The technical values speak for themselves:
Oxygen permeability (tested by the DLG) is less than 0.5 cm³/m²/24 hours. This value is extremely far (99%) below the standard value given by the DLG. The standard value given by the DLG is < 250 cm³/m²/24 hours.
Overall, the special V12 layer structure provides the following advantages:
- Lower weight
- Higher UV resistance
- Very supple feel
- Extremely stretchable and tear-resistant
- Previously unattained oxygen barrier
Outstanding 18-month UV stability with heat and cold resistance
The silver-coloured top side of the film is enriched with high-quality UV additives during production. In addition, the silver colour prevents the silo surface from heating up and thus ensures an ideal temperature throughout all seasons. The sophisticated structure of the film with its black underside prevents light from entering and protects the silo material as much as possible. Whether cold or warm, V12 remains soft, supple and easy to lay at all times thanks to its special 11-layer structure and is firm in all weather conditions.
Unrivalled technical values thanks to innovative new developments in modern film production
V12 silo films are produced in a width of 6 m. This "small" production width ensures a very consistent and controllable surface and thickness quality. In a second step, the individual strips are securely and carefully joined to the final width using a high-frequency welding process. Regular TÜV inspections of the technical values ensure our customers consistently high quality. Each individual roll is then packaged extremely securely so that the high-quality silage film is not damaged during transport.
Differences between V12 and Blue9 silage films
As mentioned at the beginning, the V12 silage film is a further development of the Blue9 silage film. The two types of film differ in the following aspects:
- 11 layers instead of 9 layers
- 20 instead of 18 months of UV stability
- Gas tightness < 0.7cm³ instead of 2cm³
- Better dart drop
- Higher load capacity
