What is cover sheet film?

Cover sheet film cuts are thin, rectangular film cuts, usually perforated on rolls for tearing off. These cover sheets are available in blocks for tearing off and, if required, also loose without perforation. In most cases, however, the cuts are wound on rolls on a stable cardboard core. The PE film has a closed surface and is therefore absolutely waterproof and dustproof and is used for shipping packaging.

What material is cover sheet film made of?

Our pallet cover films are made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE). The advantage of LDPE is its high stability and tear resistance with very low film thicknesses. This means that a pallet can be securely covered in a very ecological way with minimal use of materials.

What is cover sheet film used for?

In most cases, pallet cover sheets are placed on top of the packaged goods on the packed pallet. After placing the film sheet, the products are stretched in and at the same time the film cut is fixed in place as it overlaps on all four sides. If used correctly, your products are now protected from above against contamination such as moisture, dirt, dust, damage and theft.

If you also want to protect your products from contamination from below, pallet cover sheets can also be placed directly under your products, on the Euro pallet or disposable pallet. This means that your valuable products can be securely protected from below. Our sheets can also be used as intermediate layers between individual cartons and cardboard boxes.

What are the advantages of cover sheet film?

As mentioned above, our film cuts protect against hazards such as moisture, dirt, dust, damage and theft. It is also very cheap, quick and efficient to work with. If you put the low effort and low costs into perspective, it quickly becomes clear that this product is a "must-have". In the short or long term, not using cover sheet film will definitely result in significantly higher costs than not using this pallet cover. By the way, self-adhesive shipping bags and document envelopes also adhere excellently to this film.

How is cover sheet film processed effectively?

To make the processing of cover sheet film on rolls even more efficient, we recommend our universal film dispensers. Both the processing of the product and roll changes are quick, easy and clear.

What are the costs? - Is it worth using pallet cover sheets?

As already mentioned, the costs per pallet are "vanishingly" low. A single sheet costs around 20 cents. If you put the risks in relation to these low costs, it quickly becomes clear that the use of cover sheet film is actually indispensable. After a single case of damage from moisture, soiling or theft the use of cover sheet film is usually covered for all times.

Weight of the pallet cover film

The weight of the individual film cuts is so low that this does not play a role in shipping. This is an advantage not only for shipping. It also ensures easy handling, very low costs and a very ecological and environmentally friendly application.

Are pallet film cuts harmful to the environment?

All the properties of polyethylene plastic ensure an all-round environmentally friendly product. Polyethylene film is extremely thin. PE is almost infinitely recyclable. Polyethylene consists only of carbon and hydrogen and burns to carbon dioxide and water. Polyethylene has been proven not to contain plasticisers, heavy metals or other toxic substances.

What dimensions and sizes are available?

We offer our customers the universally applicable dimensions of 1150 x 1550 mm and 1200 x 1600 mm. These sizes can be used for Euro pallets, one-way pallets and industrial pallets. The film cuts extend sufficiently over the packaged goods and are firmly and securely fixed when stretch film is used. If you require a different size, we will be happy to offer you this.

What film thicknesses are available?

In order to be able to help every customer quickly and immediately from our warehouse, we offer film cuts in film thicknesses of 25 my (0.025 mm) and 36 my (0.036 mm). Do not be confused by the film thickness. Many suppliers use specifications such as Type40 or T40. If you come across these type designations, you can assume that Type40/T40 "hides" a film thickness of maximum 25 my. So-called type designations without indicating the actual film thickness are not exactly an honest and serious approach. It merely serves to conceal something and deceive the customer. We would be happy to advise you on this topic.

What colours are available?

Our standard colours are transparent, see-through (translucent) and black. The black colour is often used when working with black pallet stretch film. Black wrapping film and black pallet cover film is often used as anti-theft protection to keep prying eyes away. But dm-folien gmbh also offers great versatility when it comes to colour. Would you like your film blanks in blue, yellow, red, green, violet or even pink? That's no problem!

Theft protection

Printing on the cuts is ideal theft protection during transport and can be used as a "seal". This means that when the goods are received, you can immediately see that the shipment has been tampered with. This means that a defect is recognised earlier and can be confirmed by the carrier / driver.

Advertising print

We are also happy to realise an advertising print with your company logo, your company address and/or advertising slogans for your customers.

How are orders delivered?

Depending on the quantity ordered, we deliver the goods by parcel service or freight forwarder. Individual rolls are usually delivered by parcel service for cost reasons. We are also happy to send pallet cover film in combination with wrapping film.

How are the items packaged?

Each roll is individually wrapped in a sturdy protective film. Original pallets are neatly packed with sufficient stretch film. Of course, the goods are covered with a protective film to guarantee safe transport to the customer.
