What is a press-seal bag actually?

To put it in more user-friendly terms, you can consider the press-seal bag to be the perfect container for storing easily lost and/or sensitive contents and small items. The press-seal bag faithfully protects its contents from external influences such as dirt, moisture and dust. Although it is transparent, the press-seal bag even protects against stronger UV radiation and you can close and reopen it again and again. Polybags with a ziplock closures are therefore wonderfully suitable for storing and preserving food, spices, teas, textiles, metal particles, screws, small parts and powders, even over longer periods of time. And this is probably more to your advantage, to sort and protect items during delivery to the customer. Even if you need to pack an item particularly tightly and securely, you don't need any additional adhesive tape or packaging material. All you need is the ziplock bag and its usual ziplock closure. What variants are there?

Print seal bags and zip bags are available in different high quality versions. You can buy those that are completely blank and transparent, or you can opt for the variants with a labelling field, for example. Apart from the fact that the contents are recognisable anyway, you no longer need any adhesive tapes or labels. There are also variants that are designed for storing particularly heavy or sharp items. As ziplock bags are resealable, you no longer need to keep extra boxes and packaging material for these contents. Finally, there are also pressure-seal-bag variants that come with a euro hole. This means that the ziplock bags can be hung up in a neat and orderly manner in retail stores or in the warehouse. What film thickness do I need for my product?

Print seal bags and zip bags are available in two standard film thicknesses. Either they are slightly thinner with a film thickness of 50 my (50 µ, or 0.050 mm) or they are slightly thicker with a film thickness of 90 my (90 µ, or 0.090 mm). Again, it's a bit scientific, isn't it? You can remember a simple rule. Ziplock bags with a film thickness of 50 my are suitable for almost all items. However, if you want to store particularly heavy or pointed items in them, we recommend polybags with increased film thickness. Of course, you can also request other thicknesses for special sizes. What size do my press-seal bags need to be?

Have you ever purchased ziplock bags that are too small for items that are too big, or vice versa? That won't happen to you with us. We know how difficult it can sometimes be to transfer the size of your own product to the sizes and dimensions of the ziplock bags and zip pouches. We will be happy to advise you in advance to ensure that you order the right sizes and that the seal holds reliably. We can supply you with all sizes, from small bags to large pouches, according to your requirements. You can also order some free samples in different sizes at any time, which we will send to you within a few days. How do I determine the right size of press-seal bags?

The length of the press-seal bag is measured up to the sealing strip, the so-called flag is not included. The flag has a standard dimension of approx. 15 mm in length. The width is the so-called flat width and should not be confused with the circumference or diameter of the opening.

Can you produce press-seal bags in special sizes?

Yes, that is one of our specialities. We can produce almost any special size of press-seal bags on our own machines (small quantities and fast delivery times). We also have the option of having the bags manufactured in special sizes in Asia, as we import directly from there (slightly higher minimum quantities and longer delivery times).

Can press-seal bags be printed?

We can print transparent press-seal bags in up to 4 colours, depending on the size. Ziplock bags can be printed on one or two sides. The colours are freely selectable according to Pantone. Bags with a company logo are a simple and efficient way of using the packaging as an advertising tool.

Can press-seal bags be printed at a later date?

No, as the film is not pre-treated for printing and it is generally not possible to print on ziplock bags that have already been produced. However, we can print bags even in small quantities.

How can I order customised press-seal bags and zip bags?

Would you like to place a customised order? Then all you have to do is tell us the desired dimensions (width/length), film thickness, quantity (in pieces/cartons) and delivery time. That's all we need to send you your customised press-seal bags or zip bags on the agreed delivery date. Even at short notice, we keep calm and take care of your order with confidence. Are there coloured press-seal bags?

Depending on the size, we can produce colored ziplock bags as custom-made items starting from a certain minimum quantity. Since these are custom-made items, the delivery time is approximately 16 weeks after receipt of the order.

What is a stamp field or label field?

Print seal bags with a stamp field (or label field) have 3 white stripes printed on one side. These strips are used for labelling the bags and may save you the hassle of using labels. We offer variants with and without a stamp field.

Are press-seal bags food-safe?

Yes, we can offer you food-safe press-seal bags.

What are the advantages of a zip bag over a normal flat bag?

The zip bag can be closed and reopened super quickly and easily thanks to the closure strip. In addition, no aids such as adhesive tape or welding equipment are required. The closure is designed for numerous closing operations.

Are zip-lock bags waterproof?

No, this cannot be guaranteed. If you need waterproof bags, please contact us.

Are press seal bags dangerous for the environment?

The media keeps saying it, but it's not true. Ziplock bags and all other products made from LDPE (low-density polyethylene) are in no way harmful to the environment. It is a practical, simple, inexpensive, thin-walled, infinitely recyclable and therefore environmentally friendly packaging that has been an industry standard for decades. No other packaging material can match the environmental standards of LDPE bags and other LDPE products. Neither paper, nor cardboard, carton, biomass or jute bags. Polyethylene is extremely strong and tough and can therefore be made particularly thin. This is the decisive advantage over other materials.

What is an euro hole?

The euro hole is punched in the centre of the flag and has a standard width of approx. 30 mm. It is used to hang the bags on a sales shelf. The euro hole is always above the closure in the flap of the press-seal bag.

Do I have to purchase a specific packaging unit for press-seal bags?

No – ziplock bags are always sub-packed to 1,000 pieces in a box, so we can also ship smaller quantities according to customer requirements. For logistical reasons, we are unable to ship quantities smaller than 1 sub-package.

How does shipping work?

Your orders will be delivered either by parcel service or forwarding agent. This depends on how many bags you order from us. Regardless of whether it's a parcel service or forwarding agent, we deliver free of charge in Germany. We are also happy to send express deliveries with a guarantee of delivery tomorrow. We can guarantee delivery between 9 am and 12 noon in some, but not all cases. We deliver outside Germany at favorable conditions. What does the packaging look like?

You can buy our zip bags starting from just one box. Our boxes always contain 1,000 pieces. If you order several cartons with bags, the large cartons serve as packaging material for several small ones. We do not use unnecessary filling material in favour of the environment.

Are the bags open or sealed upon delivery?

Standard press-seal bags are always sealed. If you need larger quantities, we can also deliver open bags.
