This AGRIplus compost fleece (also known as woodchip fleece) is a versatile and high-quality cover, perfect for protecting compost, horse manure, stable manure, and woodchips. Designed to safeguard your valuable biomass and woodchip piles, this fleece prevents drying out, excessive moisture, and contamination, ensuring optimal storage conditions.
Manufactured from durable polypropylene (PP) fibres, this breathable and water-repellent fleece provides excellent protection against rain, snow, hail, and other environmental factors. It helps maintain a high dry matter content and high energy value by keeping moisture out, while allowing condensation to escape easily thanks to its breathable structure.
With a weight of 200 grams per square metre, this fleece offers superior tear resistance and a long service life, making it a reliable choice for both agricultural and domestic use. Its water permeability and breathability make it ideal for composting and woodchip storage. The fleece’s discreet colour blends seamlessly into the landscape or garden setting, ensuring it looks neat and unobtrusive.

Application Tips:
Tip 1: To maximise effectiveness, lay the fleece at a 45° angle (pitched roof shape) to allow precipitation to run off easily, preventing water pooling or water pockets. Woodchip piles naturally form this angle when heaped, making errors in handling nearly impossible. Compost heaps should be formed at a 45° angle for best results.
Tip 2: For wider fleece, weigh it down at the edges using silage sandbags. For narrower fleece, use our practical HOLDon eyelets or clips. Alternatively, fleece pegs can be used to secure the fleece effectively.
